| LECTURE SERIES |
featuring Dr. Lisa Anne Arnold Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine LECTURE FOLLOW-UP: Dr. Arnold taught us about flower essences and other alternative remedies for common ailments such as skin problems and bad breath - we even got little samples of Rescue Remedy! Thank you Dr. Arnold! For more information about Dr. Arnold and Naturopathic medicine, go to her website here: http://www.drlisaarnold.com/nat.html ______________________________________________ It's All in the Mouth - the importance of dental hygiene and your pets featuring Dr. Mary Allen Bradley Bradley Veterinary Housecall Service LECTURE FOLLOW-UP: We learned so much about pet oral hygiene and why it's so important. Dr. Bradley patiently fielded all of our questions, and explained what we can expect from pet dentals, such as why preliminary blood work is important and the purpose before and after x-rays. Using her own dog, Sam, she demonstrated cleaning techniques. Thank you for the information and fun time with Sam! ________________________________________________ Veterinary Pathology featuring Dr. Lois Roth-Johnson LECTURE FOLLOW-UP: Dr. Roth-Johnson taught us so much about what happens when your vet orders tests. We learned about the different tests, such as why so many tubes are involved and what the different colors of the tubes mean. She explained how the tests work and why they might be ordered. From a pet owner perspective, a very interesting lecture. Thank you so much! ________________________________________________ Preventative Care and Alternative Treatment Options in Veterinary Medicine with Dr. Jim Lear LECTURE FOLLOW-UP: What an interesting conversation. I say conversation because we had an naturopathic doctor in attendance, as well as many others interested in the idea of combining holistic and traditional veterinary practices. Thank you Dr. Lear! We hope to have you back soon! _______________________________________________
Current Trends in Veterinary Medicine: what every dog and cat should know with Dr. Joan Goffi LECTURE FOLLOW-UP: Fascinating discussion! Dr. Goffi talked with us for almost two hours, even though she was fighting laryngitis. She covered food, vaccines, and flea and tick programs. We ran out of time before she could discuss some of the other things we had on our agenda. How cool though, that we could just sit and listen and not feel like we were being rushed out of the office because the doctor had other patients waiting! Can't wait for the next lecture with Dr. Lear. Thank you, Dr. Goffi! |
