Isabelle
Isabelle came to us a result of a change in apartments in NYC. We met her when our daughter was providing foster care "for a few weeks", and she immediately plopped in our laps with her front paws on our shoulders. Her original parents did not reclaim her; a short time later we adopted her and she continued her affectionate ways. She has the thick dark gray fur of an English Blue, and she loves to be rubbed "backwards" - even vacuumed.

At a dinner party she happily rotates from lap to any other lap that will pat her.
She is very quiet for a large cat, an "eck-eck " instead of meow, even when
inadvertently trapped in a drawer, laundry hamper or closet. At night she sleeps
in our bed in nests made of our bodies, except when one of us gets up and
she insists we turn on the shower for her.
In summary, she has been an amazingly affectionate, quiet and
smile-inducing member of our family for ten years.

Thanks for the opportunity to tell her story,
Bob and Winnie Lear
