Runs four consecutive Wednesdays
Class Description: Are you getting a new puppy? Did you just get your new puppy? Then this is the class to help you with problem prevention and to teach you socialization techniques. Learn housebreaking techniques, how to prevent food aggression, how to properly socialize and other puppy techniques.
Puppies must be 8-20 weeks of age and current on shots for their age.

Class Description: Designed to teach a more in-depth approach to heeling than an 8 week full-scale class can offer.

Start Date: Tues, March 23rd from 7-8pm
Cost: $199
Duration: 8 weeks (last class May 11)
Class Description: Intro to Obedience! This class is the first step towards having a well-mannered, obedient dog. Topics covered include foundations in the following exercises: "sit-stay," "down-stay," "place (boundary-stay)" "loose-leash walking," "coming when called," and "attention to handler exercises." All behaviors are performed on leash. The 8th week of class is a graduation: games, prizes and a diploma!

Duration: 8 weeks, consecutive Tuesdays
Class Description: This class brings one word to mind: FUN! In this class, we'll show you how to effectively use the clicker to teach your dog a variety of pet tricks like "shake," "pout," "spin," "weave" "roll-over," "crawl," "play dead," "sit pretty," etc. The list of available tricks is almost endless! Corrections aren't allowed in this class, but laughter certainly is! The more fun the owners have with their dogs, the faster their dogs will learn. This class will make you a better trainer and produce a strong bond between dog and human. Learn new tricks and let your dog show off! Dogs that are very food motivated will be especially suited to this class. No previous experience with clicker training or marker training required.
Requirements: Dogs must be 16 weeks of age or older and non-aggressive to people or other dogs. Proof of current vaccinations must be presented prior to start of class (titer counts accepted).

Duration: 8 weeks (last class April 28)
Class Description: The AKC Canine Good Citizen is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The CGC Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test will receive an embossed certificate from the American Kennel Club. This is an intermediate-level class. The cost of the class includes the testing fee. Those who wish to take the test without taking the class may do for a $25 fee per dog. CGC testing date is Sat., April 24th.
Requirements: Completion of Basic Obedience Class at Higher Ground Dog Training or prior permission from the instructor. Dogs must be 20 weeks of age or older and non-reactive to people or other dogs. Proof of current vaccinations must be presented prior to start of class (titer counts accepted).

Privates are always available. If you have a particular issue that needs addressing, such as aggression, counter surfing, pulling, or anything that you just can't deal with, talk with Amber to see what can be done to remedy the situation. Call #774-722-5035 or the kennel at 508-255-0081.
Evaluations can be scheduled to suit your schedule. We aim to do most evaluations between 9-12, Monday through Friday, but will do our best to accommodate you and your dog.
Evaluations are for Board & Train, Day Training, or if you feel your dog has any issues to deal with, or if you're unsure if your dog would fit well into the class. Call 508-255-0081 for more information or call Amber directly at #774-722-5035.
Evaluations cost $25. If you decide that Day Training or In-Kennel Training is for you, the evaluation fee can be applied to that cost.
