OMG - more rain. Buckets of rain. Do I sound like a broken record yet?
Cosmo is playing in the mud and relishes it! I think he thinks he's at the spa getting a mud treatment! The rest of the crew varies in levels of brownness, from just a little to super-duper brown! Remember the story, Harry the Dirty Dog? Well, we're living it! Check out day care activities for the pictures!
We also tackled the kennel today, taking advantage of our smaller, easy group. Every so often we do an intense, top to bottom clean. We brought everyone over to day care so they could play and we could clean.
It is sparkling!

Harry, our feline respresentative, loves his basket and LOVED being the center of attention during his visit.
Gracie and Jackpot left today after a wonderful stay. We always love their visits - they are such easy boarders.
Bambino is over in day care getting muddy with Abby and almost every other boarding dog right now! Amber, Bella, Jake, Baker, McKenzie, Cassie, Henry and more. Day care is the place to be, even in the rain!
Stan is adorable as always and has found a special friend with Tara, our newest employee.
Carrie ventured out in the rain with walks today. Here she is returning with Angus from the back trail behind the kennel.

Kirsten had to start off the day with dog time, so she headed out with Abby.
"If I just trot over this way, maybe I won't have to go in!"
The girls have absconded with my camera, so I am sure I will have more to post later.
Okay, playing outside in beautiful weather is just amazing. Great dogs, great weather - what more could you want?
Daco and Jamieson are so happy to run!
Petie, Daco, and Donut
Sophie shows just how spry she really is!
Henry, Foxy, and Ernie
Donut kicks up her heels in excitement
Ernie waits patiently for Jules to throw the ball
Hunter, Jamie, and Kai doing laps
Ernie and Woody let Henry have a moment with Foxy.
"Hey Foxy. Want to go out sometime, get a biscuit somewhere?"
March 18, 2010
It's another glorious day out there and if you didn't have a ball in your mouth, then you were just missing out.
Hunter and Abby - BFF! Abby took the day off from daycare today and hung out with the kennels crew.
Kai says to Abby, "Bet ya can't catch me!" (but she did)
See what I mean about the ball?
Henry, Rudy, Hunter, Ernie, they all had them. I felt like I'd missed the memo and today was Bring Your own Ball day.
"Hey, Hunter this ball playing is hard work, mind if I take a break?"
"Sure, no problem Rudy, just try to pace yourself little guy."
"Gee thanks Hunter, when I grow up I want to be just like you."
"Hurry up Ernie, we must uphold the corgi creed:
We eat, we herd, we sleep."
"Keep your pants on Henry, my shoes are untied!"
March 16, 2010
The sun is out, YAHOO!! All the dogs had smiles on their faces when we hit the yard today.
"Starboard flaps, check. Port flaps, check. Magic feather, check." "All systems go, ready for take off Captain Elton."
A little to the right, a little more, yeah right there you got it. Phew that feels good! Kai wonders if this means his game of ball is over with his buddy Shiloh.
Our new friend Max on his maiden voyage in the play yard. He had a great time with Donut, Henry, Bruce, Mango and Stella.
Henry explains to Rosie the herding game. "You run and I chase. It's really very simple."
"You're getting it!" exclaims Henri.
"A ball, a ball, oh how I love my ball!" Mango and her ball, priceless.
Big Red swears he sees his Mom out in the parking lot.
Hanna, Morgan, Abby, Rudy, Tug, Barnacle, Foxy and Charlie all enjoyed a beautiful day over in daycare.
March 14, 2010
It poured buckets last night, but today is just gray and drizzly/rainy - yuck!. That doesn't mean that playtime doesn't continue though! The quality of the photos is not as good (I finally took my camera home this weekend to actually photograph my kids instead of the dogs!), but they work. Here is one group enjoying themselves! Odie, Dusty, Bear, Griffin, Morgan, and Hannah romped and romped!
Trinity helped Jo prep food today. She said he was a very good boy and restrained himself quite well even with all the good smells!!!
Griffin and Foxy, a cutie Rat Terrier made fast friends and bonded and cuddled last night.
Odie's friend, Louis, is gone, but he had a good friend in Buster last night. Within ten minutes, their pen was covered in hair from all the frivolity. Buster will certainly Odie when he goes home today. We'll have to find Buster a new buddy.
Andy, Big Red, and Finnegan all camped out together and are hard to walk by without playing with them! "Wicked cute!" Jo says!
Bear is doing wonderfully on his long stay, and totally enjoys his walks and social times. He adjusts so quickly to being here, it is quite nice.

What a great crew we have!!! Lots of friends here, both old and new. Trinity is just walking in with dad, Jules is just getting all her day care dogs on the bus, and Veronica is busy making sure the kennel is clean and that everyone has fresh water. Hugga is in my face rubbing his nose against me, which makes typing a bit tough. He sometimes takes a break to paw at the cursor on the screen. And Miss Honey, residing over in day care, continues to be spoiled by our day care parents. Paddy's mom even brought her meatballs today! So special, our group of customers.
Tug and Barnacle are having a blast playing with their friends at day care and while boarding (since they also get to play a bit over here too!). We keep telling them that their folks check in frequently and love them very much!
Odie and Lewis are BFFs and wrestle and play so much that it is very difficult to capture them on camera. They wrestled their way to day care. They wrestled and played at day care. And they continue to wrestle and play over here in boarding. We may have to separate them since we feel like parents at a slumber party! :) Here they decided to join in the singing! Aroooooooo!!!
Barney just came in for the night and is hanging out with old friends, Abby and Katrina (who is hidden behind Barney - she must be checking out those handsome boys next to her, Odie and Lewis!).
Lucy and Merlin also have quite the connection and are very cute together. Prior to the pictures, they were curled up together on the bed! Super cute!
Our two Basset Hounds, Henry and Elton, are just so perfect together and love to get the whole crowd singing along with them. Of course, our girl, Lady, enjoys a good round too, so American Idol, watch out!
Andy is new to us and doing quite well. He charms us with his fabulous smile that is really more of a perma-grin (and yes, dogs can have perma-grin!).
Dusty doesn't like her cone much, but is just fine. She is the best snuggler! Her siblings, Hannah and Morgan are also doing well. They love their walks and the weather has been great, so it's nice for everyone.
And Porter is adjusting slowly, but nicely. He really enjoys his pals in day care! Carrot brought him over to hang with us for a bit today, and he was a perfect gentleman in our office. He has the softest coat!
March 8, 2010
What a beautiful weekend! The girls took full advantage of the glorious weather and got some great snapshots of the pups. The weekend boarding crew was made up of the largest "gets along with everyone" crew we've had in a long time. That said we were able to get a HUGE crew out on Saturday & Sunday.
Paddy is new to us and is having a fantastic time. The only problem is Leslee does not share well with others and my daughter, Delaney, had to beg to play with Paddy! What a love!
Abby had a great time showing new buddies the ins and out of playing in the big yard. She says "Hi Mom and Dad, miss you, I'm am having a great time!!"
Milo and Flyer have been inseparable since Flyer arrived. They are like the dynamic duo.
Henry came to Jo with a problem- "I've been slimed can you help me out?"
"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!" And then he was gone, off to be slimed again.
Hermione gives Summer the once over and Summer passes the test.
The next pics will give you an idea of just how much fun was had in the yard this weekend. We hope you enjoy them.
March 4, 2010
Abby now reigns supreme in our office, at least for a little while before she trips over herself in her quest to get to day care!!! She nearly pulled Veronica's arm off trying to get to her friends next door!
Chillin' in the office on my own bed with a great toy!
"Will you play with me, please?"
"Come on Veronica! Let's go!!"
Peaches and Hermione have also been visiting in the back hallways and are just loves. Will try to get pictures, but that would mean I have to stop cuddling them!
Mr. Milo, our handsome fuzz ball, couldn't be easier. His buddy, Bailey, went home, but he's excited to play with Henry S. and Charlie this morning. He says that he hopes the weather in Hawaii is better than this stuff!
Cooper, our dalmation buddy, couldn't be a better diplomat for his breed and reminds me of Andie, our old dalmation (Cooper's better though!). He is just super - gets along beautifully with others, is well-behaved, and cuts well with scissors (LOL!!).
And Spring is definitely on its way. The boys, Betsy's son Nick and Ryan, who lives above the Day Care, decided that our puddles would be great for racing homemade boats. They are in a competition to see who can build the best boat. My hope is that the rain and the puddles dry up before they can race again!
March 2, 2010
Spring is on its way!!! Jo snapped this in the front yard. Phew! The end is in sight.
Misty and Lily wait patiently for Veronica to finish mopping so they can go for a walk. They are doing so well and love the extra special attention they get! (Notice no one else is in the kennel at this moment?!)
Meanwhile, Cooper enjoys playing with his buddies in Day Care and then coming back over to the kennel at night. Such fun!
Abby is also enjoying Day Care today. She takes enjoying to a new level!!!
I wonder if she'll enjoy her bath later today? That would be a big YES! Get a load of the color of the water! She wanted to say a hearty "hello" to Mom and Dad and tell them camp is great and that she hopes it's warming up down in Florida.
Yet another boarder enjoying the day in day care is Tobey, who would be lost without a ball!
Back in the kennel, Milo was a huge help today preparing breakfast for everyone. First, he picked out food for everyone.
Then, he fixed everyone's dishes as required!
After an exhausting shift on the breakfast line, Milo decided to meet Hugga, the cranky kennel cat!
In other kennel news, Sophie and Newton are back again! Yeah!
Cue, Jessie, and Patch are just too cute together. Cue scoots in and gives stealth kisses, while Jessie's bum gets movin' around so much that you think she is going to fall over! And Patch always acts a little aloof, but will move in to get more loving if you dare to move your hand away!
more to come in just a bit - Carrot is outside with a big crew playing...
Oh what a crew I just had the pleasure of playing with! Sophie, Newton, Rudy, Captain, Peaches, Hermione, Merlin and Sampson. Here a few pics of our outing...
Rudy (the white ball of fluff) is very smart when it comes to playing with the big kids. He keeps his distance, then pounces into the fray, all the while knowing that he could out-run any one of them if he had to!
